More about me
Licensing: MS-LMFT Years in Practice: 10 State: Georgia
I am a firm believer that we are put here on earth to help one another grow, change with the ultimate objective to live a more fulfilled life and love each other more. The challenge is always the peaks and valleys of life that bring for some us severe emotional pain. I have had the privilege and honor to be professionally trained in a wide variety of therapeutic modality’s to move clients towards better mental health. I do believe that there is not one way to get mentally healthy but rather a combination of personal choice and a new approach to life’s challenges that creates permanent change.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist my main focus will the systems within your life that are not working or functioning correctly and changing them. My primary approaches are Narrative Family Therapy, CBT/DBT and Solution Focused Therapy but feel confident in using any data driven approach that works for my client.
I have shown success in working with patients who struggle with:
Grief/Loss
Narcissistic Abuse
Trauma/Abuse
Depression/Anxiety/Stress
Blended Family Issues
Parenting for Children with Disabilities
Marriage Counseling
I think you will find my approach warm, lighthearted, inviting and non threatening. I am knowledgeable and serious about moving you towards a more fulfilling life with hopes you gain new life skills, emotional stability. I encourage my clients to have with patience with themselves and the healing process. Learned dysfunctional patters and non productive behavior responses are often embedded by our families during childhood and will take time to unlearn. I am up for the challenge if you are.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
