I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia where I have over 20 years of experience in counseling and social service delivery. I have a background in community mental health and I have a great deal of experience working with families. I have worked with clients in the past who have had concerns related to depression, anxiety and stress, relationships issues, poor communication, and conflict.
My approach to counseling focuses on establishing rapport and providing care and services to my clients in ways that build resiliency and improve self-worth and confidence. In other words, sessions are tailored to meet each client's unique or specific needs. My theoretical framework is in line with CBT or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe it is important to learn how to identify , explore, and work to change unhealthy thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and daily functioning.
That being said, it is important to celebrate the fact that you are taking the necessary steps to get to a better you! To the best of my ability, I will work to provided the need support and guidance to equip you with the skills manage your concerns and empower you to become the best version of yourself.
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
