Suzie Amacker has been a very understanding and helpful source as she has seen me through several transitions over a two year period. She has helped me to consider what I think I need to do, versus what will ultimately benefit everyone in my life because I have taken care of myself in the process.

When individuals are experiencing challenges and confusion in their lives they often seek counseling with a trained professional. Most end up feeling that they wish they had looked for help sooner. It is become something that people are now proud to say “my therapist”. It means that you want to better understand yourself and your situation and that you are not afraid to ask for help. I have been told that I put clients at ease with my way of accepting all situations as life challenges. I have worked with individuals, parents, children and couples for over 20 years as a teacher, therapist and personal coach. I have a wealth of experience to bring to my work and I love helping people find solutions and insight into their lives. I’m confident that together we can work to equip you with the tools to face and overcome your challenges. Whether you are struggling with life transitions, retirement, aging, anxiety, or relationship issues, it is important that you know you don’t have to be alone in this journey. As a therapist I value:

-the healing power of the therapeutic relationship

-a safe and encouraging atmosphere

-respect for the individual

If you are ready to work toward what you really want, I’m ready when you are!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

There is no aspect of my life that has not benefited from my sessions with Suzie ( long term ). Coming from daily panic attacks and really dark inadequacy thoughts to life's challenges, her multi-dimensional approach has helped me, and continues to help me find re-stored self-confidence and self-compassion. My relationship improves, my work dynamic and over-view of family attachments or disputes drastically change after a single conversation with her, even when i'm the most confused. Thank you again Suzie for guiding me with professional care and allowing me to discover new tools within my self :) highly recommended.

Suzie is caring and her approach is practical. I have overwhelming circumstances and she helps me to get to the one small thing I can do to move forward this week. Over time it adds up

Suzie is incredibly patient and attentive, offering a wide variety of ideas and helpful approaches on how to deal with your life problems. I always feel better after a session. She guides me through self-reflection and building healthier mental habits, reframing negative thoughts and walking with my pace even when I have resistancy.

Reviewed January 2022

At a time when the pace of my world felt like it would devour me, Suzie patiently waited with me and for me as I worked through all of the complex details. After listening to my story, she helped me to focus on the critical components that I wanted to prioritize, but was not making room for in my life. Suzie read back a list of my goals from when we started working together and I was shocked by how many and how 'satisfyingly' they were accomplished. Thank you, Suzie!

Suzie has really helped me to get my life back on track after a difficult period. I have been feeling so much better after talking with her every week. She has given me actionable tools to cope with every day struggles and I’m finding these things I used to battle are becoming less apparent in my life. Can’t recommend her enough.

Reviewed November 2021

Suzie seems like a very good person who actually cares about her clients. I was lost and confused and didn’t even want to start therapy. I thought therapy was ineffective and pointless, but Suzie proved me wrong. Even talking to someone about something that is not necessarily mental health, can help us improve our mental health. I felt great even after the first session and got to hear the words no one has ever told me before. These things helped me see myself from another perspective and improve my weak points. I got the best guidance I ever needed. Thank You.
