Tabitha worked with me for 6 months on setting goals, learning how to listen to myself and my mental health. I really enjoyed our conversations and she gave great insight on how I can communicate better, acknowledge my struggles and check in with myself. I feel like the mental health tools she worked with me on, I'll be taking with as I navigate my self care journey moving forward. I would recommend working with Tabitha as she's a great listener and will support and want the best for you. She helped set personal goals for myself and checked in, encouraged journaling and my mental health, sleep and state of mind has improved from our sessions.

More about me
Licensing: MS, LPC Years in Practice: 6 State: Georgia
Hello, my name is Tabitha, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I earned my Masters in Rehabilitation Professional Counseling at Georgia State in 2011 and my Bachelors in Psychology from Kennesaw State in 2006. For the past six years, I have been providing counseling and assessment services for a variety of clients. As a counselor, I am well-versed in depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, gender identity, and trauma. I am a LGBTQ+, kink, and poly-friendly therapist. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). While I draw on CBT techniques, my therapeutic style is person-centered. My colleagues describe me as a "warm and fuzzy" therapist. I believe that you are the expert when it comes to your thoughts and feelings. My job as a therapist is to provide a safe space where we can explore and "organize" your thoughts and feelings so they become clearer and more manageable. I practice unconditional positive regard, which means that nothing you share with me is going to negatively impact the way I think or feel about you. I want therapy to be a place where you can be your authentic self.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
