Hello and welcome!
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts with over 6 years of experience, mainly providing clinical services within healthcare settings. I have worked with children, adults, and families experiencing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, career challenges, chronic illness, grief and loss, bereavement, and coping with transitions. My experiencing working within interdisciplinary teams of medical professionals and emergency medicine settings also lends itself to assisting with workplace concerns, compassion fatigue, and career burnout.
My goal as your counselor is to partner with you in your pursuit of mental wellness. My practice is rooted in the firm belief that YOU are the best expert of yourself. Our work together will involve understanding your current stressors and experiences, while building on your current skills and strengths to achieve your goals for therapy. My clinical approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused, practical, and strengths-based counseling techniques. Together we will tailor skill development, goals, and treatment plans to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage and vulnerability to open up with someone new in a therapy setting and take a step towards making a desired change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support you as you begin that journey.
I generally offer sessions via BetterHelp on Fridays, with the majority of our interactions taking place via live video sessions.
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
