Counseling in my view is the ability to help identify behaviors with individuals that are negative destructive and harmful. My goal is to dialogue with a client and help uncover solutions, guidance in resolving personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties is not forced on anyone. Counseling is collaboration between clients and trained knowledgeable clinicians. Participation from the client is essential in the success of any therapeutic exchange with me. Most people need a platform to identify problem areas in their thinking and in their lives that hinder them from progressing and understanding why they cannot succeed in society or towards their personal goals. Even though I do not prescribe medications, sometimes, medications are required to gain a mental balance, sometimes not. Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are approaches I may apply. Confidentiality may not apply to cases involving a minor child. In such cases, as a mental health professional, I may advise a parent, managing conservator or guardian of a minor, with or without minor’s consent, of the treatment needed by or given to the minor. Sometimes change can be scary and it takes courage to seek help and take the first steps toward change. I look froward to working with you! Should you feel in need of urgent help or that you are in crisis at any time during our work together; please call 1-800-273-TALK 24 hours a day; or 911. This forum does not provide any type of emergency services, so I want to be sure you know who to contact if you need immediate help.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
