Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Amazing therapist!

Reviewed November 2022

I have enjoyed/learned/absorbed Bob and his advice for approximately six sessions to date. I requested a life-experienced, no-nonsense therapist of faith and I am not disappointed. Bob is clear, concise, empathetic and both listens and responds with the ease and confidence of experience, knowledge, and competence. He sees through the stories, both good and bad, I have told myself over the years and has offered a refreshing (and much needed) evaluation…while presenting new tools (books, worksheets, introspection techniques, and more) to tackle the confounding issues head-on. Bottom line: He’s just a great guy that happens to be a great therapist.

Bob has been such an extraordinary help for me. I was skeptical as a queer woman about meeting with a cis male, but he’s been very sensitive and respectful of my concerns. He always lets me get out what I need to say and has very constructive things for me to think over and use as tools to help me. Thanks Bob:]

Robert is helping me get in touch with my feelings and is very encouraging.

Reviewed September 2022

Robert is always listening to all the details I share, and he constantly encourages me to be honest with myself even when it’s hard. He provides resources and positive feedback to take next steps in my healing journey, and he is always recommending new worksheets, books, and podcasts to assist with this process.

Reviewed July 2022

The best part about Bob is that he knows how to ask the right questions to really drill down to the issue, and he does it so gently. He is quick to support me and help me reframe my self doubts. I sincerely believe that BetterHelp succeeded in matching me up with my therapist.

Reviewed July 2022

I value Bob’s insight that he gives during our sessions. He has been able to help me get through a lot of tough issues, and I feel not a lot of people in my life/or even any people have been able to do that for me. Thanks Bob!

Reviewed May 2022

Robert was able to focus on my concerns and provide viable solutions to the difficulties I was facing. It is extremely apparent that Robert puts his clients first and provided relatable advice. Thank you!

Reviewed May 2022

Bob takes the time to read the journal entries I share with him and gives me feedback where and when he can. After working with Bob, I feel "heard". Sometimes that's all one really needs. I like the way he shares his experience and expertise but doesn't preach to me about things I should already know. It's hard to come away from therapy and not be reclusive or emotional about the issues discussed. But with Bob, I actually feel optimistic after our sessions and I'm thinking about things in a new light. I'm so grateful to have him as my therapist.

Robert Hoopinger has been an amazing therapist to work with. He is so supportive and helpful in each of our meetings. He truly understands my struggles and to properly help me work through them. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is unsure or looking for a therapist.

I am glad to be connected with Robert. He is trained to identify the need of the patient who is compassionate, patient and supports the need to provide his expertise no matter the situation , ask or just listen.

Reviewed March 2022

Bob is great! He is very insightful and has a gentle way of helping you and that’s really beneficial to me as a highly sensitive person that I am. It’s a first for me having a male therapist and it’s good to be flexible and have an open mind. We have been working through traumas from growing up with an alcoholic mother and now I’m able to reframe my views. I find a lot of value in the worksheets and books he has suggested. I have had a few breakthroughs in just 5 weeks of working with him and look forward to continue my progress. Thank you Bob

It was a pleasure to be talking to Robert. He is a patient and calm soul. During our sessions he helped me a lot to get over my worries and problems. He expertly tailored the therapy to my needs and always responded quickly if I had any issues. I am surely happy to have met him.

Reviewed February 2022

I was hesitant about working with a counselor thinking my troubles weren't great enough and I would be wasting everyone's time and resources. Working with Bob, I learned that I am worthy of being listened to and that my feelings and needs are valid. He offered support and encouragement when necessary and pushed me to really explore my feelings and life desires when appropriate. I suppose I'll always have work to do, but Bob helped me develop coping skills that I use regularly and will have with me always.

Reviewed December 2021

I have had splendid success seeking counseling from Bob. He hears and observes me and offers logical feedback that I don't always see on my own. I believe Bob to be very talented at what he does. I highly recommend him.

Reviewed September 2021
