Tina is helping me through one of the biggest challenges I have ever lived through. She listens to me seriously, and responds quickly to messages and is super validating and uplifting even when she is challenging views that are maladaptive. I am so happy I was paired with Tina.

Thank you for visiting my profile! I am here to help you. I have many years of counseling experience with adults and adolescents that have depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger issues; relationship, family, career or adjustment concerns; as well as substance abuse issues.

I have military counseling experience with active duty troops and combat veterans.

I have two Master’s degrees in Psychology, the first in College Teaching and the second in counseling, specializing in marriage and family therapy.

I began my career as an Adjunct Professor in Psychology in the San Francisco Bay Area; after 6 years of teaching , I began to work clinically, as a community based mental health clinician, with adults with more severe , chronic symptoms, such as schizophrenia.

I also worked in the community, as a licensed clinician with both adults and adolescents, with mental health and substance abuse disorders, in Outpatient, IOP and partial hospitalization treatment programs.

After many years in the private sector, I decided to work for the Federal government. I was hired as a Psychologist, at Fort Sam Houston, in Texas.

I worked for the Department of Defense, on base at Fort Sam Houston and Fort Bliss.

As a Federal GS employee, I transferred to the Department of Veteran Affairs. I worked in their Vet Centers as a licensed marriage and family therapist.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

My husband and I built up some bad habits, resent for one another, and distrust over several years, and we were on the brink of divorce. I worked with Tina via individual therapy at first, then invited my husband to join me for a session. We wound up working with her together weekly for a couple months, and found it so helpful. My husband and I both felt supported and heard by Tina and each other, with neither of us feeling like she took sides. She listened, helped us each express ourselves in a safe environment, and helped us navigate ways to communicate with each other and understand each other better. We're in a better place now than we've been in a number of years. Thank you so much Tina!

Tina is great and really accommodating. She (pretty much instantly) recognized where many of my strongest anxieties and fears were coming from, and immediately started working with me to challenge, confront, and inure myself to those anxieties. I experienced noticeable relief and healthy changes in my habits within two weeks. I am so glad that I started talking to her.

As a therapist, she has a very balanced mixture of listening, asking relevant questions, and offering suggestions on alternate ways of looking at or handling a situation. It feels like she respects how I look at my own circumstances, while also helping me challenge them where they are harmful. I intend to keep seeing her for the time being, since life is throwing new stressors at me, and her help in getting perspective has been tremendous.

Reviewed March 2022

Tina has been a great help to me. She listens attentively and cuts through the noise to reflect back to me exactly how I feel and think about the problems I'm having. I can tell she's heard all sides of how I feel. She's empathic but also pushes me to challenge my thoughts if they are irrational or unhelpful. She makes me feels like she really cares as she has sometimes messaged me even outside our video sessions to check in and ask how things are going. I like her down to earth, authentic approach, which doesn't make me feel patronised. I really feel like she's on my side. Highly recommend her as a therapist!

I saw Tina over a few months regarding issues I had in my self-confidence and stresses at work which interfered greatly with my private life. Tina helped me with these issues, coaching me to be more assertive to voice my concerns at work. She helped me to build my confidence and self-assurance, and encouraged me to apply for a new job (which I later got) better suited to my interests and life goals, which I wouldn’t have been able to do without her guidance and advice. She is always patient and understanding but gives a gentle push to ensure that you are advancing and improving. She helped me set both short and long term goals in simple steps so that I was always achieving but never felt overwhelmed and could celebrate doing these steps. Tina has made me feel much more happier, self assured, and optimistic about myself and my future. Thank you Tina! :)

Reviewed November 2021

Tina was an excellent therapist and was an amazing help. I am 26 yo male and this was my first experience with a therapist. I had anxiety, particularly with interactions with women in general but also intimate relationships. Before talking to Tina my anxiety would be around 7-8/10. After a few weeks of therapy my anxiety is pretty much gone I would say it is closer to 1-2/10 and at times 0/10. Tina helped me understand my triggers for anxiety, how to react to it, strategies to prevent it and deal with it and my life has improved significantly. Tina listens very well and gives great advice. If I ever have any issues I would happily contact Tina again and I would highly recommend Tina based on my experience.
