Welcome! I'm glad you are here. My name is Lindsey and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia. I have over 5 years of experience working in the mental health field, including working in a variety of settings such as in the office, in home, and in the community including schools from primary to high school. I have worked with clients from age 4 to adults with a multitude of presenting issues such as trauma, depression, self-harm, anxiety, anger, relationship and family conflicts, mild autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, adjustment difficulties, and self-esteem. My counseling style is warm, supportive, and interactive. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling.
I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I believe in collaboration- together we can work on establishing concrete goals and steps for you to help overcome your current difficulties. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I know first hand that getting help can be a challenge and that it takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take those first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you through your journey, whatever that may be.
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
