I was a hairdresser in Atlanta for 20 years listening to client’s problems while working to make their outside beautiful. I often wondered how I could help with their inner self/beauty. Then my daughter started college and she talked me into going with her. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mercer University in 1997. A few years later I finished my Masters of Arts in Psychology from Argosy University, and then completed my Ph.D. from Northcentral in 2011.
I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Atlanta Georgia. I worked in a private hospital for addiction and psych patients for almost 25 years. I also worked in private practice two days a week; 10 of those years. I recently retired. Presently I work on Thursdays at Georgia Recovery Centers with mandated clients who are felons. I use CBT, DBT, Client Centered, Mindfulness and Positive Therapy in an eclectic approach to therapy. I am a warm and supportive therapist but will help you tackle your struggles head on with a certain amount of tenacity. Together we will prioritize, establishing goals and the steps it will take to get through those struggles. We will work as a team to help you find a place of inner peace, contentment and accomplishment while moving forward; that you so truly deserve. I am looking forward to our journeys together!

About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
