Mollie is great! She's able to shift gears and adapt to what I'm wanting to focus on seemingly with ease. She gently brings me back on topic when I go off on tangents, but also listens to those tangents and comes back around to them when necessary. I feel heard when we talk. She often sends things that help me think about subjects a little more in depth. I very much appreciate her calm demeanor and attentiveness; she is knowledgeable without being clinical, yielding a professional yet relatable guide.

Years in Practice: 9
Hello, my name is Mollie Bender. I graduated for Medialle College, in Buffalo NY, in 2011 with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, client-centered, and motivational interviewing. I have experience working with individuals’ mood instability, substance use, anxiety, history of trauma, and family/relationships conflicts. I have over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, in-home, and addictions.
My approach is client centered. Focusing on where you are at and your current goals that you would like to focus on. Using approaches like solution focused, and client centered I will assist with processing through your needs and assisting you with finding your strengths and resources.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $35 to $80 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
