I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am originally from upstate New York. I spent the first 20 years of my life primarily in the New England area. In my late twenties I decided to enlist in the United States Army. My enlistment took me all over world and that's where I also met my spouse. Thanks to mine and my spouse's military service I have had the opportunity to live in several states and countries. I believe this makes me more of a diverse counselor. After my enlistment I decided to become a social worker. I have experience working with children, youth, and adults. I have worked with children and youth who have been diagnosed with ODD, ADHD, and Autism. I also have experience and training working with youth and adults as a substance abuse counselor. My training also extends to a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns.
My treatment approach is individual based. I have a warm and educational counseling approach. I focus on treating everyone with respect and dignity. My approach combines motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and feminist therapy. I will adjust my treatment approach to meet you where you are at and to develop an individualized treatment plan.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I will provide you with a safe place to share . If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
IMPORTANT:
***For my Virginia clients I am available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons. I will be available for therapy sessions till August 1, 2022. ***
I look forward to working with you!

About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
