I believe change can happen at any time for any situation. If this is where you are in your life, I am a great fit for you! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with education from Tougaloo College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Mississippi College with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with Specialization in Mental/Behavioral Health. I am also a nationally certified counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS). I have worked in various environments, i.e., psychiatric residential treatment facilities (PRTF), collegiate programs, community-based treatment facilities, and with people from diverse backgrounds, socio-economic and underserved populations.
I have a passion and desire for helping others. My personal motto is: "I want to help people improve their quality of life, directly or indirectly." I feel all people may experience situations in life that they may need assistance in being able to cope and/or get past. Participating in therapy can help, especially if the individual feels comfortable and safe. I believe every individual that wants to make a change to their life can benefit from the assistance of having a "listening ear" they can depend and help them navigate a new path in life.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
