Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She has helped me so much! She is very understanding and gentle in her approach.
Leah has really helped me to process my feelings and emotions. She’s helped me realise a lot of my unhealthy behaviours and provides me with practical techniques to reduce them and helps me find ways to manage my stress and anxiety. I feel like I’m in a totally different headspace now compared to a few months ago when I started working with Leah, and I’m super grateful for that. Leah’s kind, approachable, easy to talk to, she leaves space for me to process what we’ve spoken about, it’s been really easy to connect with Leah and I’m just chuffed that the app paired us! Thank you Leah and thank you BetterHelp!
Leah is professional and business like, but also very friendly and relaxed. She is insightful and honest. I really appreciate how she reframes things in a helpful way. She shows interest in my wellbeing and asks direct but non-threatening questions. I'm getting a lot out of our sessions and I feel lucky to have been paired with her.
In the short time I've been working with Leah, I have begun to feel more hopeful and less anxious. I am so impressed by Leah's responsiveness. It helped us quickly get to the heart of the matter(s) I am concerned with. I really responded to being able to message for a week before our first video session. I like that she suggests practical exercises as well as providing empathetic listening and reflecting my thoughts back to me. I feel an ease with her, without any pressure to be friends. I took a chance on Betterhelp and I'm glad I tried it.
