I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
I am an experienced Children and Family Mental Health Therapist with a history of working in the field since 2010 in Nonprofit Organizations, community –based organizations, Individual/Family, Couple, Therapy, Group Therapy, Crisis Intervention, and Psychotherapy based on research studies to help Children, Families and couple meet their goals in treatment.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults to help them gain insight and build tools to face challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and other relationship issues with others including peers/family , trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, grief and loss, and specific life stressors.
Family/Couple conflict can create stress and distance within the family. I work with family members looking to reduce conflict, and improve the interactions and connections in order to positively impact the family relationships and problem solve. I also support parents with additional parenting skills using evidence based models such as Strengthening Family Program.
I use multiple approaches including Psychodynamic (Talk Therapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Narrative, Solution-Focused, and Family Systems therapies and evidence-based approaches such as Trauma Focused-CBT and Manage and Adapting Practice.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
