I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey with over 25 years of experience working with clients with disabilities and their families, clients with addictive disorders and clients going through life transitions. I am experienced in working with adults of all ages who present with depression, anxiety, regret or who have suffered childhood trauma, physical and/or emotional abuse. I have worked with victims of stalking and domestic violence.

I will customize my schedule to fit yours, if possible. I will answer your messages on a daily basis and will also work with clients who only want to communicate by text. You will be my #1 priority.

I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, insight and reality oriented therapy as well as supportive therapy.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

In the year that I have been working with Susan, I have gone from being scared to speak my truth and tell my husband I wanted a divorce, to going through the tough times that came from doing so, to now finally being able to breathe and feeling confident and empowered. She has always been there for me and taught me to stand up for myself and to trust myself. I could NOT have done this without her. She helped me change my life and I will be forever grateful. She has been the perfect therapist for me. Thank you Better Help and thank you to Susan for helping me become who I am today.

I came to see Susan as I was struggling with severe post-trauma issues. Susan is a gifted therapist who understands how to be an active listener. She doesn’t shy from asking hard questions or commenting on what she’s hearing and relating it to the whole of her understanding of your experience. She’s incredibly supportive, without judgement, but never shies from asking the questions she needs to in order help you move forward. She’s also one of the kindest people I know. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
