Katie is level headed, practical and knowledgeable and really helped me work through when I found myself binge eating. She also was open minded, understanding and compassionate for all I was going through and for that, this therapist is priceless.

More about me
Licensing: MS, LPC Years in Practice: 8 State: Georgia
Hello! Welcome to my page.
My name is Katie Weidenkeller and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and have been working in the mental health field for 6 years. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for good work to begin. My approach with clients is warm and supportive along with providing validation for their emotions and experiences. I believe that the client knows themselves the best and I meet my clients where they're at. I do not believe in identifying the client as their diagnosis.
My approach is very client centered utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and Solution-Focused modalities. However, I will work with you in collaboration and identifying goals tailoring your treatment as needed to best support your needs.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy working with individuals, families, and in group settings. My background is experienced with eating disorder, emotional difficulties, substance use, homelessness, and overall general life stressors or challenges.
I realize that it is not easy to reach out and ask for support. I want to meet you with grace and compassion in order to help you take the first steps in making a change in your life.
I look forward to meeting you and walking along side you in your journey!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
