Greetings ~ My Name is Ronald Seletsky (He|Him|His). I have been working in the fields of Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse and Human Services for over 38 years in a variety of executive leadership, management, hospital administration, health-care insurance and other professional roles as a job coach specialist (non-certified) and mentor along with providing 1:1 counseling and group therapy for individuals across the Life-span for those who have been challenged with job/career related concerns, anxiety, depression, sexual orientation, and those who have been involved with Foster Care, Guardianship and Adoption related systems.

Though my primary spoken language is English, I have worked with non-native English-speaking clients in particular those who are from Mandarin and Spanish speaking backgrounds. My approach is strength-based, person-centered, humanistic and mindfulness-based with results and solution focused outcomes through a motivational interviewing process. My Bachelors degree is in Organizational Psychology from Suffolk University (Massachusetts) along with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from Cambridge College (Massachusetts).

Ron is pleasant and listens well. He offers advice as needed and has a pretty available schedule.

My journey here on BetterHelp with Ronald has been truly incredible. Ronald is amazing, and he has experience in the events that I am going through. Very recommended!

I wasn't confident in therapy until I met with Ronald. I feel like he is very intelligent and a great therapist and I feel he understands and listens to me well and is able to digest what I'm saying well, even if I may not myself. I’ve been working with Ron for about two years now and it has been quite the healing journey. He really lets you run the sessions however you want but always makes an effort to leave off on a positive note which I truly appreciate.

A little over a year ago I was places with Ronald through Pride Counseling/Better Help. A cannot think of any counselor or therapist that I have had in the past who was able to balance the depth of our conversations with a lightness and humor that Ronald can. Having deep and meaningful conversation where I can be honest is such an important part of the therapeutic process for me, but also being able to laugh and joke can be just as important- and is essential for me, personally. This makes me feel so deeply grateful for Ronald in particular, and his incredible ability to listen carefully and respond thoughtfully AND to laugh along with me when that is what is needed. Fittingly, Ronald and I call many of our sessions "laughter therapy," and it reminds me that no matter what is going on in my life, there is always something to smile about.

I was skeptical of being able to engage in therapy through a virtual platform but the wait for in person sessions was very long so I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. My experience with Ronald has been incredible. I feel that he was able to make me feel supported as well as challenge me to think about my anxiety from a different perspective. Ronald is very welcoming, compassionate, and approachable. Ronald is amazing!!! I feel like that is so much that I shouldn’t even continue this review but I am going to. After years of floundering with different providers that were not a great match I have found a person who is on the same level as I am and one of the first things that he said that I will never forget is that we are all human beings. He makes it extremely simple to start working on whatever you are there for, there is no judgment or the feeling of opinionated and Advising what you should do or constantly asking you well how does that make you feel?? If you are at a place where you know exactly what you were trying to accomplish and you want somebody who is extremely intelligent and intellectual with an amazing sense of humor, and it feels more like a person that is at the same level as you versus an authoritarian figure which I have never felt in my many years of going to psychologists and therapists. The feeling I get is that I am the expert about who I am and what I need and he is there to listen and work with me and I really appreciate how open minded and with a what a broad her Rison he sets. he’s very easy to schedule with he tries to make your life easier when it comes to everything and I have never since this before it’s wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful!!! Very quick responses if you want to schedule an extra session or change something and very attentive and engaged at the same time as his perspective on things which to me is truly a very complementary skills and characteristic in a great mental health professional but also you feel like you were building a relationship with a person! I just could write forever about all the wonderful experiences and this is just based off of one session and a few text messages so please if you are looking for somebody in that world give him a try! While appointments last because I have a feeling he’s going to be completely booked very soon!
