Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)in both North and South Carolina with over 20 years of counseling experience. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and Accredited Disability Representative. I work with adults who want help to feel more in control, inspired, motivated, and empowered to find enjoyment in living from their authentic self. My experience includes working with clients with a variety of concerns such as anxiety, bipolar, depression, self-esteem, life transition issues, chronic pain, and disability. This is a transformational journey fueled by strength, integrity and courage.

My counseling style/approach is warm, interactive and supportive. I believe in treating everyone with dignity, integrity, compassion and sensitivity in addressing their concerns. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels because labels do not define who you are.

My approach uses multiple therapeutic modalities such as person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral, reality therapy and psycho-dynamic. This approach allows for flexibility to tailor treatment plans to meet your unique and specific needs and goals.

Together, we will identify solutions and resources to inspire, motivate and empower you through your growth challenges to achieve the outcomes and results you want. I believe that you are your best expert in your life. I will provide you with guidance in identifying patterns, choices and consequences to accomplish goals for a more satisfying and authentic life.

When I have an appointment with Loretta I always forget that I'm in the appointment. At some point, it feels like you're just having a conversation with someone that wants to help and you forget the clinical side of it.

Mrs. Loretta has helped me overcome soooo many obstacles. I’ve learned many coping strategies to handle life’s challenges and the people u love. She listens to no matter what I’m talking about that day. I can even message her if something’s bothering me and she answers back in a timely fashion.

She held my hands when I needed someone. She is very knowledgeable and approachable. She give her best at every session . Thankful for her.

I’ve began getting my mental health under control for the last 5 years. Before then I lived with mental health unmanaged my entire life. Every therapist I’ve tried has made me angrier. The culture differences and expressive barriers has made every experience with therapist not pleasant. It’s hard to express how you really feel inside if you can not speak honestly as the person you are. Mental health is not always proper language. Ms.Loretta is such a relief in my true self expression. She is so relatable and real. She can understand and give you a different perspective the way I understand and receive to make a positive change. I appreciate the passion and compassion. I never had a therapist and I’ve been through many to give honest feedback with absolutely no judgment and none of the ridiculous annoying questions. It’s real conversation for understanding. The homework and insight is meaningful. I can’t say enough about the complete turnaround in my feelings towards bettering my mental health. I was ready to give up really give up. She is amazing at what she do, I’m so glad to be under her care.

I love Mrs. Tillman, she is the best. I wasn't sure what to expect from therapy but my sessions with Mrs. Tillman have been invaluable. She made me feel completely at ease discussing anything that was on my mind, and being able to let my guard down and express difficult emotions was a huge relief. We got to the bottom of damaging thought patterns and worked through tools to deal with them, which I feel confident using on my own now. Loretta has an extensive education obviously, But what she has you cannot learn from the book which is a highly functioning intuition sensitivity and words that you can actually take with you into your next session and somehow those words turn into actions that turn into real practical healing.
