More about Sean

  • 12 years' experience

  • CSW-PIP

My name is Sean Kasper. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I went into the field of social work out of a desire to help others. I made the decision to pursue my educational goals by earning a Masters of Social Work Degree from the University of South Florida. I have provided direct patient care since 2014. I am a US Army combat veteran and served 9 years on active duty. My experiences have led to having an interest in co-occurring mental health disorders. I provide services to better understand why particular beliefs may be negatively impacting one's emotions and overall quality of life. I am direct in my clinical approach and challenge my patients to have a better understanding of mental health issues such as anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and substance use disorders. I have worked in evidenced-based programs aimed at understanding post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction disorders, and suicide prevention. I adjust my therapeutic approach based on the client's needs and will work collaboratively with my client to ensure we are working towards treatment goals. I believe in educating others and I will encourage readings based on finding meaning and purpose in one's life. I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I really appreciate Sean and his knowledge and wisdom he has to share. I’m still pretty early on in my journey to better myself but Sean has me on the right track after only a couple visits. Really appreciate his willingness to be honest and up front. I would gladly and highly recommend Sean and his services to anyone who needs them.

Sean is an amazing guy. He is thoughtful, funny, and down to earth. He doesn’t shy away for difficult issues. He really does care about his patients and wanting them to feel good about themselves. I’ve had two other therapists before Sean and neither of them come close to how much I feel I have gained from working with him. He really is a wonderful therapist.
