Independently Licensed in Maryland and Virginia and certified supervisor in both states, Eugene Harris II believes we must be ready for service in season and out of season and that much will be required from everyone to whom much has been given.

Utilizing his gift of helping and assisting others has been Eugene’s passion for a long time. He has an array of different experiences and believes effective counseling is balanced with both clinical and Christian principles. Eugene is a retired U.S. Air Force officer with over 20 year of services, where he honorably served in Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, JOINT FORCE, and ALLIED FORCE.

He also served as a Master Instructor, gained advanced training and experience conducting personal counseling sessions, while positively affecting the lives of many members. While on active duty, he earned a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree in Psychology while double majoring in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Troy State University, and has met the requirements for a Master’s of Community Counseling (MA) degree from Argosy University at their Washington D.C. Campus.

He has served in numerous leadership positions, thereby gaining an up close, personal understanding of the challenges many military members and their families face. Although his focal point in counseling is marriage and family therapy coupled with Christian growth and development, Eugene’s church community involvement, leading Bible studies and men’s fellowship lectures, play a vital part in the application of these experiences for effective counsel.

Eugene is a Board-Certified Counselor (BCC), an approved TRICARE Mental Health Counselor (TCHMC), a Associated Certified Coach (ACC), a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Chi Sigma Iota (CSI), and the Maryland Chapter Project Member Institute. Their two daughters Shardae, who has one daughter Azaria reside in South Carolina and their daughter Chelsey, who has one son Ephraim-Israel, also reside in South Carolina.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
