I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), licensed in California. I have over 20 years of experience working as a clinician and as a Associate Clinical Director for a community-based organization. I have worked with children, teens, and families with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, relationship issues, parenting problems, and challenges with coping skills. I have extensive knowledge about ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and experience working with children, youth, and adults who have experienced physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.
My therapy style is warm, interactive, and collaborative. I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, and grace. I believe we are all working to become the best versions of ourselves and do not focus on labeling a person's struggles. My approach is a combination of therapeutic frameworks: cognitive-behavioral; mindfulness; psychodynamic; and solution-focused. When creating your treatment plan, we will collaborate and focus on identifying your specific and unique needs. When it comes time to make decisions, we will make them together.
It takes courage to take those first steps toward change and breaking our unhealthy cycles. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
