My name is Amy Kim and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist presiding in California. I graduated from Notre Dame De Namur University with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Art Therapy. I have experience as a school counselor for middle school students using art therapy as a tool to communicate, process, and evaluate the growth of self. I have experience developing and working with socio-emotional learning as an education and a clinician. I am an empathetic and committed therapist, dedicated to providing a safe space for teens, adults, and their families. I strongly believe in partnering with clients to create the best path forward in treating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and other emotional health issues through an attachment lens. I have experience working through CBT and DBT with a strong background in building insight.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
