Hi! I am a family and marriage therapist licensed in California with over 10 years of experience. I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to California over 15 years ago, with my military spouse. As a bi-cultural and bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist, I proud myself on providing culturally aware therapy. I have worked with a variety of clients including couples, parents, teenagers and children, with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and parenting problems. I have been trained on the Incredible Years parenting model and have successfully led multiple parenting classes. I am passionate about helping families navigate their unique dynamics and supporting mothers to overcome the challenges of been the frontal lobe of their home. What I have learn is that there is no such thing as "the perfect parent"; nor you, nor I, nor the neighbor, or the lady on social media that seems to have it all together. Not even the experts on child development have it all figured out. What we can strive to, is to be the best version of ourselves for our children. What we can do is become "A GOOD ENOUGH" parent. My therapy style is interactive and warm . I believe in treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I believe everyone has a story to tell, and as such I like to focus on the individual first, and then on the concerns the individual may have. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, a client- center approach as well as Solution-Focused and Family Systems therapy. My goal is to collaborate with the client and I will tailor our conversation and treatment to meet your unique and specific needs.
