More about me
Licensing: LPC, CAMS Years in Practice: 10 State: Georgia
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. I hold a Master degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University with a concentration in Family and Marriage Therapy. I have been licensed by the state of Georgia as an associate professional counselor since 2008 and was fully licensed in 2011 at which time I opened the Agape Transformation Practice, LLC.
I believe strongly in the capacity of people being able to help themselves; I see our therapeutic relationship as one in which you are in charge of setting your own goals and I am privileged to travel with you as you work toward attaining those goals. I expect that you will be involved in the healing process and that you understand that I will work with you and not do the work for you. My approach to therapy is basically a holistic approach with an emphasis on healing inner wounds from lies that you believe and/or hurtful past experiences that are holding you captive like being stuck in a rut. We will discuss your wounding from many perspectives and examine the effects on your body, mind, spirit, work, and relationships; as well as any other areas that may be meaningful to you. Your decision to choose to enter therapy is a voluntary one and you may terminate it at any time without penalty.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
