It’s my belief that we were all created with a purpose and strengths to reach that purpose. My passion is supporting others in breaking free of anything that’s hindered their progress. It takes a lot of honesty and work but is possible with the right resources and help. I hope to offer a safe place to work through setbacks, identify strengths, and piece together the goals you want to achieve. We’re all so different and have such a variety of things to offer this world so let’s get to work!
A little about my professional experience and background.. I attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN to obtain a Bachelor’s in Child & Family Studies and then a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a background in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior therapy serving children & adolescents in the outpatient setting, treated adolescents in residential and crisis stabilization units, provided substance abuse treatment for the men and women in the Alabama & Kentucky justice system, and implemented behavioral interventions for forensic population in our Georgia state hospital. I enjoy learning and growing as a therapist and as a person to provide the most effective and efficient care. I spend my time hiking, kayaking, and exploring both land and sea, alongside my golden retriever Sadie Grace. I look forward to working with you in individual sessions and experiencing the first steps in change!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
