More about me
Licensing: LPC, CAADC Years in Practice: 17 State: Georgia
Hello My name is Kenisha, but everyone calls me K.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug counselor in the great state of Georgia. I have been providing counseling services for over 12 years. I have worked with clients that are faced with a wide range of concerns including: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, substance abuse concerns, anger management, self esteem issues and ADHD. I have also worked with clients with co occurring diagnosis.
My dedication to the field of mental health stems from my personal experience with it. I have personally overcome some mental health challenges and I know first hand how difficult it can be to ask for help, so, I want to commend you for seeking help, not all people are brave enough to do so.
During our partnership, we will discuss your goals, both long and short term; identify barriers that stand in the way of you achieving those goals and then derive a plan that will help you to move closer to reaching those goals. Therapy can be hard work, but I am willing to walk through this process with you, if you are willing to walk with me.
My approach is wholistic and individualized based on your needs. However, I do absolutely incorporate the mindfulness approach into therapy style.
I look forward to working with you and am excited about helping you to become the best version of you that you can be.
Thanks,
K
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
