I cannot recommend Louisa enough. I found her when I was at one of the lowest points in my life and she’s been there with me ever since. She’s genuine in her desire to help her clients find peace within themselves and she’s gentle in her approach. If you’re struggling, you can reach out to her and know that she’ll respond quickly. I’ve been with Louisa for over a year now and I can’t even imagine where I would be if I hadn’t found her.

ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Louisa Peluso, a Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have over 30 years experience in managing change. My training consists of a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Masters in Business Administration in Organizational Change from New York University, and thousands of hours in organizational change and community mental health.

I love to help people create positive change in their lives, their families, and their communities.

ABOUT MY APPROACH

My approach stems from our basic human drive for happiness and wellbeing. We do not only want to survive – we want to thrive! We want to enjoy life at its fullest!

As your partner and guide, I will help you explore your unique journey, past, present, and future. In therapy, we will identify, explore, and notice patterns that help you to make sense of things and define a way forward. We will work together to identify plans of action every step of the way. As Chinese Master Lao-Tzu set forth in his writings nearly 2500 years ago -- “Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life”.

An essential element to our work is confidentiality and trust. The therapy I practice is Person-Centered. YOU are the expert in your life. Through empathic understanding, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness, we will build a rapport in therapy that empowers and motivates you to achieve your therapeutic goals.

I look forward to meeting you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I was immediately at ease with Louisa, despite the huge weight of the things I’m carrying. She is kind, she listens without judgement, and calms me when things feel chaotic. A wonderful counselor who I look forward to continuing my therapy journey with.
