In the months in which I was struggling through so many aspects of life Jeffrey was a great help. He was always willing to listen, provided a safe space to be vulnerable, and knew exactly what to suggest in terms of practical steps to further my healing along. I couldn't recommend him enough.

More about Jeffrey

I began my professional career in 1989 after I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Since that time I graduated with a Masters in Social Work in 1996 and I received my license to practice independent social work in 2001. If you are interested in scheduling an appointment, I see people on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons so perhaps we can set an appointment for one of those days. I will send you a survey to complete prior to the first session as a pre-measure, then in follow up sessions, we will complete the same assessment to measure progress. The first session will consist of me mostly listening, taking notes, and clarifying your

feelings. Based on this assessment and in collaboration with you, we will set realistic goals to help you find relief from the areas of life that are bringing dissatisfaction. Following this assessment and identification of goals, we identify action steps that may take the form of reading books, written assignments, or practicing skills that were discussed in the counseling session. For some, a referral to a Doctor may be suggested for adjunctive medication therapy. For some, therapy may be a few sessions

while others may need more sessions. However long it is, you will be a part of the decision-making process.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
