More about me
Licensing: LCSW-C Years in Practice: 14 State: Maryland
I am a Licensed Social Worker that has been doing counseling/therapy for over 10+ years. I am licensed in the states of Maryland and Florida working with Individuals and Couples of all ages. I am so grateful you are choosing to continue your journey towards healing. I say continue rather than start because it is my belief we all have innate strengths towards inner healing. You taking the time to read this, right now, demonstrates to yourself that you have internal strength, motivation, and realization that you deserve a meaningful and joyful life. I started my career in Psychotherapy when I learned how precious life can be when we have a healthy balance in our lives. Sharing with you my experience and assisting you with achieving your harmony is my purpose in life. It's been my experience that often times having a compassionate witness and support throughout our difficult times can be the difference in overcoming difficulties and struggles.
I resonate strongly with the work of Dr. Richard Schwartz who sees us as having various inner parts that all serve to function our individual internal system. I use this framework combined with a strengths based perspective, where you and I will work together to identify how your unique internal system operates.
There are no “bad” or “broken” parts of you. Only parts that may have learned to adapt in ways that no longer serve you. Let’s work collaboratively to find healthier ways to find peace and balance in your life. I am excited to work alongside you on this journey.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
