More about me

Licensing: LICSW Years in Practice: 3 State: Massachusetts

Welcome! Being alive is a curious reality; your outward living in the world (the "doing") and corresponding internal experiences (the "being"). I work with my clients to develop and clarify insights, perspectives and needs and then towards meaningful shifts in communication, choices and behavior. I am "real-world" oriented but understand that existential experience (sense of purpose/despair, direction), life "stage", relationships and family life create nuanced and complicated personal realities. I approach complex and difficult life circumstances and realities (e.g. divorce, illness, financial anxiety, family and caregiver stress, end-of-life, childhood trauma, addiction, job/career dilemmas, life transitions, etc.) directly, and bring curiosity, deep listening and committed engagement to help my clients find pathways forward.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, practicing since 2007. My approach combines supportive counseling, therapy and coaching/guidance. While I currently specialize in medical (Oncology) social work, I have experience supporting people in a variety of ways over my career. I am humanistic and relational in my style and incorporate aspects of various therapeutic modalities (IFC, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness, etc.) into my work. I am professional, proactive, and maintain discretion and confidentiality. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

About online counseling

Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
