"The most challenging part of therapy is stepping through the door."
I'm so glad you have taken the step towards greater well-being and a better life. It takes courage to take the initial leap of faith, whether or not you've been to therapy before.
Right now, your life is challenging you in some way, and you are looking for connection and relief. You may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck, and this is why you've reached out today. You are looking for someone who is clinically skilled, but also warm and personal. You want therapy to be worth your time and resources.
I have an MS in clinical mental health counseling, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) based in New Hampshire. I have a broad range of clinical experience, including outpatient therapy, community mental health, and inpatient therapy. I help clients gain a sense of purpose and create effective change by utilizing a variety of modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, self-compassion exercises, mindfulness based approaches, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, meaning-making approaches, and somatic approaches. Most people who come to therapy have somehow lost touch with their true selves, and therefore feel they have lost touch with the world around them. My goal is to help you feel like yourself again, whatever that means to you. My specialties include depression, trauma, anxiety disorders, spiritual issues, as well as OCD and related disorders.
I look forward to working alongside you as you find your way to being whole.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
