I received a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling, from Grand Canyon University in 2016. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina license number 12968. I practiced as an LPC-Intern at Davis Regional Medical Center Psychiatric Unit for a total of 6 months from June 2016 to December 2016. In addition, I have been practicing counseling from a pastoral perspective under a ministry since 2012 for a total of 5 years in that arena of pastoral counseling. I have also been working in the profession of counseling from a substance use disorder perspective since 2013 license number CADC 2108 for a total number of years of 4 years of substance abuse counselor. Prior to working as a counselor, I worked in the capacity of a pastor since 2003. The National Christian Counseling Association licenses me as a Pastoral Temperament Counselor LN-16647 since 2013. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have a broad background in services to encompass adolescence, adults individuals, and couples. I work with individuals with a variety of issues including emotional, spiritual, relationship, or behavioral challenges; making difficult life decisions; dysfunctional eating, divorce; or those simply wanting to glean a deeper understanding of themselves. My specialties include relationship counseling, anxiety, stress and anger management, and sexual disorders.

Excellent help figuring out situations

I have a long history of doubt and avoidance of mental health treatment. I spent many years distrusting therapists and never getting any real treatment. Dr. Sanchez was the first to really make me feel that he was looking out for me. I tried to doubt him at first but it's blatantly obvious that he genuinely enjoys helping others and it really shows in his work. I look forward to our sessions because I have never gone a session without learning something valuable. Recommend 10/10.

Dr. Sanchez worked with me during a very uncomfortable time in my life. Work, social life, and more we’re putting me in a great deal of anxiousness daily. In situations unhealthy. But he helped me find a path to work through some of these thought patterns. I’m very grateful to him.

Amazing! I've been struggling with myself for a long time now, not really knowing what was wrong. Dr. Sanchez figured it out in under 30 minutes. I may have been simple to diagnose but my life has only gone up since our first session, and I will definitely be going back.

Great therapist

The few months we have worked together have been very empowering and I’ve learnt things that will stay with me for ever. He helped me ovorcome my issues relating to anxiety, coping with becoming a mom, depression and workplace stress. Dr. Sanchez can be tough but I faund that that was exactly what I needed. Dr. Sanchez has been absolutely amazing. I'm a combat Veteran and being paired up with him has been life changing as he is a combat Veteran as well. Having someone who understands military life, and combat environments and combat related injuries is key for me in my mental health journey.

Hmm. What to say here?! Dr. Elliot Sanches is fantastic. I have been in therapy for years. Some of those years have been enjoyable, with great practitioners and other years less so. Dr. Elliot is a no nonsense type of practitioner. For me, that is very welcomed. Due to my nature of past therapy along with my years in recovery, I have an expansive vocabulary to describe situations, all the while not saying anything of substance. I immensely appreciated his position, his questions and his feedback. I understand his journey is shifting for a moment and wish him safety and security. I very much look forward to continuing my journey with him up on his return.
