I hail out of beautiful nearby Charlottesville, VA. I enjoy living on my farm, raising livestock and horses, with my wife and two children. I started my counseling endeavors working at a therapeutic wilderness program for adolescent males. I have extensive experience working with at risk youth, crisis, mental health and addiction counseling working as a TDT (Therapeutic Day Treatment) Clinician, Program Manager, and Clinician within the county’s mental health and substance abuse treatment system. I enjoy utilizing my training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) in working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, and addiction. I received my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice at Radford University and then his Master’s in Professional Counseling at Liberty University.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
