More about me
LMFT, MS, MA
Years in Practice: 12
I have over ten years of experience as a counselor working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, trauma, crisis counseling, grief, divorce, parenting support, and addiction. I spent the first five years of my career working in a residential crisis house where I gained experience with severe and acute mental health issues.
My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach. With compassion and understanding, I will work with you to help build on your strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing.
Above all in my life, I am a mother. I have a beautiful thirteen-year-old daughter who inspires me to be the person she believes I am every day. I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoying what San Diego has to offer. I also have a great love for animals, especially dogs of which I have four. If I have learned anything about life, I have learned that we have a choice every day to make it good or bad. We all have that power.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
