I am a licensed marriage and family therapist having been licensed for about 16 years now. Overall, I have worked with most populations. We can not change the past, we must accept what has happened, but with a renewed sense of empowerment and hope we can forge ahead to experience the quality of life we want and deserve. We often feel worse when we commence therapy, as self-examination is painful at times. That said, in the end, we will hopefully develop the skill set to manage whatever challenges come our way.
