I have had a great experience with Natalia as she understands not only the many themes of which we have discussed and that she has helped me navigate through. She also has that Latino upbringing which is very useful and helps me feel more of an understanding with some of my family dynamic discussions. All in all very professional and I appreciate her advice and counsel as it has helped me “re-wire” my childhood trauma and helped me manage my anxiety as well.

My name is Natalia Cruz Navarro. I consider myself bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural. I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) and a Masters in Social Work from San José State University. My goal as a psychotherapist is to provide an environment of compassion and support, to help individuals overcome obstacles in their lives, and to help them move forward and thrive.
In my practice as a psychotherapist, I like to use an eclectic approach to treatment that is primarily evidence based, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), amongst other modalities to support my clients. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with negative self-talk, poor self-esteem, mood issues, work stress, depression, anxiety, trauma and communication issues.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
