In the past, I have done a therapy session once to process some trauma, but never anything long term. My relationship with Gretshen over the last year has been life changing. She's helped me uncover things that I mentally swept under the rug that were actually posing issues in my life and provided me with tips and advice to actually address and resolve them. We have collectively discussed topics regarding parenting, relationship and weight loss where we've discussed some eye opening solutions that have kept me from breaking down when I thought there were no solutions that would work for me. I would 100% recommend Gretshen!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I worked with Gretshen for about 4 months. In that time, she was responsive, respectful, and a wealth of knowledge. I appreciated her intentional way of asking questions, and always providing a resource or two for more personal growth.

Gretshen is a different kind of therapist than others I have worked with. She truly is solution-oriented, and is not afraid to call me out for getting in my own way. She shows a great amount of compassion for the places where I'm hurt, but also expects me to do the work, look inside myself, face the hard questions, and keep moving forward. I am thankful that I feel comfortable sharing everything with her; I can tell her what I'm afraid of, when I don't like what she's saying, or even just that I'm completely lost and too stubborn to move in any direction. Gretshen has so much optimism and believes in me when I don't believe in myself or in life, and that kind of support has been key to helping expand my perspective. I'm grateful to have found Gretshen and I have seen--and felt--so much growth in my life in the months we have worked together. She's a very helpful mix of patient, kind, and truthful, and I'm so glad to have her in my corner!

Gretshen is wonderful because she supports you in doing the work. It will not just be endless questions about feelings; she will challenge you and help you feel supported enough that you can make actual changes in your own life in the direction you want. If you want to actively be responsible for the way you approach your life, and explore the possibility there, Gretshen will be a great asset to you.

Gretshen’s approach to therapy is great because I don’t feel like she’s forcing any ideology into my head. She listens to what I’m saying and helps me come to my own conclusions. Then she will let me know her educated opinion about it and she will answer questions I have about helping to improve in very useful ways. She’s a therapist I would highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who will listen and give you real tools to improve your current state of mind.
