Hi. I have many years of doing substance abuse counseling in a hospital setting in Iowa. I have also worked as a school counselor with grades K - 8, I have taught Psychology courses on the college level and am familiar with all aspects of counseling theories and brain development. The college course I enjoyed teaching the most is "Wellness." This course discussed all aspects of both physical and mental health, which, of course are connected. I incorporate wellness and long-term balance in my counseling sessions.

I came to Alice with only the goal of working through my grief. I finished therapy with tools and knowledge to conquer not only my grief, but also the feelings of anxiety, guilt and more that I had to suppressed and dismissed. Each session I learned so much more about myself. Alice is a wonderful therapist. She listens to everything I say, and finds the little details of things which I overlook. She made me realize a lot of things about my past that make me the way I am now, and how I can break the cycles of my past. Alice is very reassuring, and always makes sure to point out things in my life which I should be proud of and feel good about. If I return to therapy in the future, I will no doubt choose Alice to be my therapist.

Alice has been my therapist for about 6 months , and believe I am the luckiest person ever to have been matched with her as my therapist. I am not new to therapy and it took sometime to admit I needed therapy and go back to it, but Alice has made it so easy to talk to her whether that be video appointment or a simple written message. Alice has helped me unlock the confidence I thought I didn't have. She is understanding when it comes to rescheduling or cancellations. I trust her methods in the way she approaches my concerns and helps me work through difficult times. She is a therapist that will be there and encourage you always.

Alice seems quite knowledgeable, however very judgmental, your worth is determined by what you do, not who you are. There is a general feeling that money is super important to her and is the basis of everything, which does not align with my values: simple, people oriented and extremely minimalist person. Money does not matter to me, nor does it make me happy. Jumping to tons of conclusions and assumptions without trying to get the facts.

I LOVE Alice, she is amazing!!! She talks fast and is straight to the point- which I really love. We don’t waste time moping or anything and while she is fast, she really listens to me and I can tell she cares. Some days, though, when I am more down, she responds and adapts to my speed and is very thoughtful and considerate
