More about me
Licensing: NCC, LPC Years in Practice: 3 State: Georgia
Greetings and Salutations! My name is Yolanda Danforth and I have spent the last three years as a School Counselor in a public school system here in Georgia. I have also earned experience in the field of addictions, and domestic violence in both individual and group settings while earning my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor).
I have come to appreciate both the challenges and rewards of using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Based Therapy.
I attended Augusta State University (now Augusta University) to earn my Masters in Counseling with a Community approach in 2010 and my experience expands the age spectrum.
I am confident in my ability to help you meet your next chapter in life with success and purpose.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
