I am a licensed psychologist and a licensed marriage family therapist in California. Over span of almost 30 years, I have worked in community mental health both in inpatient and outpatient settings. My work history also includes experience in correctional and forensic settings. Currently, I am exclusively working with an outpatient medical group providing individual psychotherapy to adults and children. I have worked with clients both adults and children with wide ranging issues including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, legal issues, schizophrenia, delusional disorder, ADHD and marital issues.
My therapy style is based on client center and humanistic principals respecting and upholding individual values and diversity. I utilize psychodynamic paradigms to establish my case formulation. I approach client’s treatment by using cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic integration, rational emotive therapy, and individualize treatment plan to address client’s needs and goals. I further utilize a collaborative approach to measure effectiveness of treatment and client’s progress.
Recognizing and seeking mental health treatment is challenging and takes courage. I acknowledge and respect the fact that one may feel vulnerable in seeking comfort and healing in one’s life. I approach everyone with respect, sensitivity, warmth, empathy and compassion. I am known to be warm, caring, and respectful.
When ready or contemplating someone to work with you to walk a path of healing please contact me. I look forward to walking this journey with you.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
