I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have over 8 years of experienceworking for a nonprofit community mental health agency since 2014. As a therapist, I believe our quality of life is directly related to the quality of our relationships and the ability to maintain relationships. These relationships include, but are not limited to one’s self, one’s family and friends, co-workers and jobs, and spirituality. I work to assist people with obtaining the tools needed to manage and cope with stressors of daily life and issues related to relationships and trauma. I use a combination of Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I assist clients in identifying problematic pattern behavior in session, reflect on how their experiences thus far in life have shaped these patterns and challenge clients to discuss possible solutions or ways to experience the problem in a new way. I also help people in managing depression, stress, anxiety, panic, bipolar disorders, impulse control disorders. Autism, ADHD, abuse or trauma, dissociation, LGBT or gender dysphoria, and communication issues. Through the use of mindfulness practice abd relaxation I help clients learn to tolerate the new and different ways they experience the world and create lasting change.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
