Maria is an amazing therapist. She is blunt, kind, and encouraging. I was feeling stuck in my life and having a difficult time trying to pass my NP exam. She have me goals that helped me feel less overwhelmed. She also had great tips for helping me pass the exam that worked way better than the exam courses I had taken in preparation for the exam. Within just 4 weeks of therapy I was able to take and pass the exam. I am now back several months later to work on childhood triggers and traumas. Ultimately goal is to have a better relationship with my mom and children. I happy to work with her again.

Maria was such a integral part in really delving into some childhood trauma that I shoved away for 20 years. Her guidance, homework, and compassion helped me understand forgiveness and understand what it truly means to take my life back and to not be afraid to let others know what I want and deserve. I have worked with Maria for the past six months, and I just "graduated." I initially sought therapy for anxiety, and eventually depression as well, and Maria truly helped me grow so much. She helped me have confidence to know what the root of my anxiety was, she gave me practical tools to deal with and overcome the symptoms, and she encouraged and supported me along the way. I would recommend her to anyone. My close friends and family who knew how much I was struggling have told me they have seen my growth as well. I know that I am so much better off, and I am confident that I have the tools necessary to continue to be the better version of myself thanks to her.

I've seen other therapists before (outside and within BetterHelp), but Maria will always stand out as the best counselor I've ever had. Her perception of knowing when to let me talk things out and when to offer solutions was invaluable. She assigned insightful homework that kept me thinking throughout the week. When I could feel myself pushing back against her advice- because of course it's sometimes more comfortable to stay stuck- things would pretty much always unfold in a way where I would immediately think "Maria was right". This happened so many times over the almost year I saw her and I will be forever grateful for her expertise.

I like that she's faith-based. I like that she has three "levels" to what she'll tell you. She makes me feel very comfortable.
