I am a licensed professional counselor with 15-years of experience providing counseling to children and families dealing with issues that contribute to child abuse and neglect. I've worked with families towards remedying the issues that lead to their family being involved with child welfare. Those issue vary from domestic violence, chemical dependency, family conflict, sexual abuse, and various mental health issues. I support individuals and families towards crisis stabilization and emotional well-being through addressing the issues that impact their ability to contribute healthily to themselves and their family unit.
I am known for my ability to connect with individuals from different walks of life and supporting them towards wellness. My approach is gentle but firm; supporting individual accountability in reconciling past traumas towards an emotional healing journey. My philosophy is therapy takes the path the client leads and therefore should be client centered. My hope is to inspire healing and wellness for clients that I have the honor of sitting with; that their lives may be enriched towards healthier selves and relationships, yet understanding my limits as a counselor in surrender to the individual healing journey for each client.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
