I am, Jeanne Wilcox, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in California with 14 years of professional work experience. My clients include individuals, couples, families & groups. I have experience working with clients with depression, stress and anxiety, trauma & abuse, and anger management. I also have experience working with motivation, self-esteem & confidence, relationship issues, parenting issues, coping with grief & loss and family conflicts. Treatment modalities I frequently use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I also want you to know that I am here for you! I offer a safe environment where you will be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Together we can work to uncover and discover your best self. The therapeutic process will guide you on your journey to work through emotional pain and trauma and open your world view and expand your choices and opportunities during life transitions. I will be a catalyst for you to increase self-awareness, self-confidence and self-acceptance, which will allow you to create a healthier life perspective and allow you to be your best when building relationships. You may realize some difficult truths about yourself and you will discover strengths and develop skills designed to create positive change and promote personal growth and lead you to living your most authentic life. I will tailor our dialog and develop a treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
