Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Jacqueline. I am a licensed clinical mental health therapist in Kentucky. I have been in this field for 14 years and have a genuine passion for the work I do. While I specialize in addiction, trauma and grief, I have worked with individuals on an individual as well as group level, focusing on a wide array of areas from depression and anxiety, and more complex mental health issues such as Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and personality disorders, along with many others.
My approach is more of an eclectic approach as I do not insist on using any particular modality for each client, but rather, I like to tailor my approach and methods toward and around the needs of each client I serve. In more recent years I have primarily worked with co-occurring disorders such as mental health and addiction but do enjoy working in all areas of mental health and addiction.
I find fulfillment in being able to help those in need, to overcome obstacles they are faced with. Everyone deserves to find their place of happiness and true contentment and to be able to reach the highest level of satisfaction in themselves and where their lives are at and going. It can be difficult to see and experience when you are weighed down with all the stressors life presents.
I look forward to meeting you and being able to go on your journey with you and watching you grow to reach your fullest potential.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Just couldn’t have asked to be paired with a more excellent therapist! Jackie is authentic, compassionate and knows her stuff!
Miss Jackie is incredibly helpful with my needs and I feel like she really cares about me and is very knowledgeable with what I need help with. I never thought zoom meetings with a therapist would help but she’s proved that notion wrong.
Jacqueline Mitchell is so kind and thoughtful. She put me at ease right from the beginning. I would highly recommend her to others.

Jacqueline has helped me tremendously in navigating through the troubled times in my life.
I am very pleased with my therapist and the work we are doing.
Jackie is a new therapist for me so we are just getting into the swing of things. She has provided some valuable material to assist in my journey and I’m excited for where things are going!
Jackie has been a tremendous help. She was able to phrase things in a way that helped me draw some wonderful conclusions and really helped me through some tough stuff. She took the time to listen and understand my problems while encouraging me to love and take care of myself. And she is a great pleasure to talk with.
To start, as soon as I log on and see her I smile. She exudes light, compassion & trust with professionalism. That instant smile breaks any pattern I’m in so that I may clearly communicate what I’m feeling. Jacqueline not only counsels, but provides work for me to do so that I can continue to do “the work”. I feel she is not only highly experienced in her field benefiting BetterHelp seekers of help, but an asset to BetterHelp.com.
She’s a great listener and knows what I need to focus on
