Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

First therapist I’ve had on here and has been a wondrous help!

Reviewed July 2023

I returned to BetterHelp after a little over a year of no therapy and was assigned to Deanna. From the first session, Deanna has been compassionate, understanding, and provided a safe space to share my worries and challenges. Deanna checks in via text when I am having a rough week and has been easy to work with when my work schedule changes to find an alternative time to meet. We have worked on a variety of topics including: depression, anxiety, PTSD, and ADHD… and the woes of midlife changes impacting all of those conditions. I have recommended Deanna to others interested in trying online therapy. Overall, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

She's always been very understanding and ready with many suggestions when I'm stressed and lacking the right understanding or social resources. I've grown a lot and made progress having weekly sessions with her, and feel very comfortable speaking with her.

Deanna has taken me from being a severely deep depression to a new and happy me. It’s fascinating how she is able to identify my struggles, challenge me, and provide the tools I need to better myself everyday. She inspires me to do the work so that I can find happiness on my own, but she is responsive to my urgent concerns that I need support working through. I am so grateful to Deanna for helping me find happiness again.
