More about me
Years in Practice: 3
I am licensed in Virginia with 3 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, LGBTQ-related issues, relationship issues, & trauma and abuse. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I have dedicated most of my time advocating for individuals who spent time in the foster care system and helped them through their mental health challenges. I am a lifetime alumni of Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Psychology which focused on adolescent behaviors and development. I received my Masters in Clinical Social Work at Norfolk State University. I have completed may doctorial studies at Capella University with a Doctorate of Social Work.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey!
I look forward to working with you!
About online counseling
Online counseling allows you to receive care from an online mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Ranging from $60 to $90 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
