Therapy is incredibly new to me and I was very anxious about starting and on my first session. Laurie made me feel incredibly more comfortable quickly and allows me to say as much as I want to or as little. I really feel she listens and supports how I’m feeling during a really difficult time. Laurie is a thoughtful therapist who has learned what therapy style works for me, and adjusted her approach so I can learn easily. I feel safe with her and I know she cares about my feelings and my growth. She’s unafraid to give me hard feedback that I need to hear, but she does it in a way that makes me feel supported and respected. I’ve never looked forward to therapy before, but now I do! I’m becoming the person I’ve always wanted to be, and I’m excited to continue to grow.

Laurie is the most pragmatic therapist I've ever worked with and the first one that I've actually looked forward to engaging with. She gives you space to speak but asks the questions to get at the core issues and then sets about approaching that issue to get real movement through it. It can be painful, but for me the progress has been undeniable. You can expect accountability, a unique perspective, and a partner if you are ready to put in the work to make a change.
