I have really enjoyed my sessions with Alex. He has helped me to understand myself better and guided me into making realisations about myself that I never previously considered. Alex is insightful and supportive and his sessions have helped me tremendously when it comes to taking action, e.g., having difficult conversations. I recommend him highly.

Alex is an incredible therapist. From the first meeting, he made me feel incredibly comfortable. He was never insistent, but instead patient and always allowed me to lead the sessions. This made it easy for me to trust him. I never felt forced to share anything, but I was confident he would listen to anything that I did share. He remembered what we talked about from previous sessions, and this let me know that he truly cared about me as a person. He was easy for me to relate to, as he shared with me that he had seeked therapy in the past and that I was not alone and there was nothing "wrong" with me. My favorite quality about Alex's style is that he LISTENS. For many sessions, I would do 95% of the speaking, and then he would make one simple and concise remark that would stick with me throughout the week and give me a deeper insight about myself. I feel like he truly helped me to look at myself from the outside and get a new perspective on my life. He was the perfect first therapist for me, and I am so fortunate that it was him who I was paired with.

Hello and welcome,

My name is Alex. I am an Integrative Humanistic Therapist and I have fourteen years of experience working with individuals and groups in various capacities.

I’m aware that it's important to get the right support when life isn't going so well...

I believe that all of us carry certain pain within and occasionally find ourselves in dark woods and therefore we shouldn’t feel any shame or judgment in discussing our life experiences.

My journey to becoming a therapist began as a direct result of me being in therapy and seeing how beneficial and life changing it was for me.

I am convinced that the most important factor in therapy is the trusting therapeutic relationship. Therefore I offer compassion and non-judgement as a starting point to meet each other.

As an integrative practitioner, I draw from several different therapeutic approaches and psychological theories to tailor an approach that will suit your needs and allows us to work together.

I use a psychodynamic lens to explore your current difficulties - for example how you feel about yourself or others – which may be strongly influenced by past experiences and early childhood relationships. In doing so, unhelpful thinking, feeling and behaving patterns can be fully understood, which creates a space for meaningful change.

I will try to look at the bigger picture to help you to navigate through complexities of modern relationships. The aim is to reduce internal conflict, and regain a sense of connectedness and intimacy, as well as help you to strengthen your understanding of yourself and your relationship with the world around you.

It’s early days with Alex but I have already found his sessions so helpful, and feel that I leave every week with new and helpful knowledge. I especially like the way he helps me reframe my thoughts.
